Edward Done, Director of Photography
Camera Operator

It’s a Done Deal
Actually, his name is pronounced to rhyme with “Phone”. We’re just having a little fun with the English language. With Done's years of experience in commercial, corporate, narrative and documentary genres, he gets the shot every time, even under difficult conditions. Producers especially like this quality.

So, as ET would say, "Phone Done". -Edward Done.

Done before you start
This part is all about preparation. A lot of DPs evidently just show up and start shooting. But not Edward Done. Oh, by the way, did we mention that Done rhymes with Tone? Done listens. Listening helps him create the entire project in his head. Many potential problems are circumvented ahead of time. The key is preparation. It seems to pay off.

Been there. Done that
One crucial element in developing a great look is knowing how to manipulate light. In a former life, Done was a lighting director. (Translation: a gaffer or as the British say, Chief Lighting Technician)

So he really knows light. To him, it’s the foundation of any visual creation, and he treats every project like a feature film. Done recently shot an action sequence for a regional restaurant chain that had editors oohing and ahhing and laughing as they cut the spots. Editors, for crying out loud. Done is really in the Zone. Yup, another rhyming reminder. Lucky you.
